BLUE MOUNTAIN POPPY

BLUE MOUNTAIN POPPY is a hand painted silk art  10”x12” in size, framed in a wooden black frame ready to hang and decorate any room.

The artwork is painted with silk color dyes on a pure silk fabric in turquoise blue, black yellow, orange colors. Once the dyes are completely dry, the silk artwork is steamed to set the colors permanent, so they stay vibrant always. Give one day for the silk dyes to set in the silk fabric, and then wash in cold water with a mild soap and gently squeeze the fabric between your palms. Do not scrub hard as silk is a delicate fabric. Rinse the fabric until the water is clear of soap, say 4-5 times. Hang the artwork in shade until damp dry. Then iron it on silk settings covered with a cotton sheet for 2-3 minutes until the silk is smooth and all wrinkles have straightened out.
