CHERRY BLOSSOMS

CHERRY BLOSSOMS is a hand painted batik art on cotton fabric painted using wax and batik color dyes. I was living in Zambia, Africa at that time when I painted this painting, and it was inspired by a Japanese greeting card. The colors are set permanent by dipping the batik fabric in hot water several times, which helps remove the wax and makes the colors permanent. 

The size of the artwork is 20 x 12 inches, framed in a black wooden floater frame without the cover because you can’t put a cover on it or put it in a shadow box which has cover, your preference. 

Once in a month just take a dry clean soft cloth and gently dust the painting so it stays clean. Also hang it away from direct sunlight to colors stay vibrant.
