Collection: BATIK ART

BATIK ART is a unique kind of art, which is painted on cotton fabric using melted hot wax and color dyes. In the process of creating a batik painting, the areas of the sketch which need to be kept white are covered with waxed, once the wax is dry and solid, the waxed is cracked with hand, and the fabric is immersed in a bath of selected color dye several times so the color gets into the cracks and the other blank areas.

The number of colors I want in the painting, the same number of times I have to apply the wax on the sketch, and then dye the fabric in the color dyes. The color only dyes the unwaxed areas of the painting, not the waxed areas.
